Senior Product Designer. Social Worker. Visual Artist.
Using the NASW Code of Ethics, I wrote my mission and values to carry with me through my career so that I continue to honor my purpose as a Social Worker and UX Researcher.
I will think critically about the complexity of individuals, families, groups, communities, and entire systems before proposing design solutions.
I will consider others within their environments with empathy and positive regard.
I will work to increase equal access to opportunities and information, especially for vulnerable populations.
I will value collaboration with my peers and learn from their knowledge and experience
I will contribute to a feeling of felt-safety in my environment.
I will seek to understand and advocate for people regardless of their race, ethnicity, national origin, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, political belief, religion, immigration status, and mental or physical ability.
I will delight in designing “with” instead of “for” by honoring the dignity and worth of others and acknowledging their potential to develop solutions that will serve the complex problems we analyze together.
I can usually be found…
Running around Lady Bird Lake (getting honked at by the two very angry geese that live there), painting flowers, crafting Spotify playlists since nobody will accept mix-tape CDs from me anymore, or sorting through my assortment of internship name-tags featuring several bad haircuts.
I’m also an artist! Check out my illustrative work or some of my professional painting work.
